Academy Terms of Use

Atualizado em 25 de agosto de 2026

These Terms govern the use of the CLC Academy, the account-based learning area available at academia.clc-financialpartners.com.

By creating an account, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with any of them, do not create an account: the rest of the website remains available to you without any registration.

The Academy is provided by Cátia Andreia Lopes Cardoso, tax number 262 604 817, trading as CLC Financial Partners, who is responsible for this area.

  1. 01Who may create an account

The Academy is intended for persons aged 18 or over. By creating an account, you declare that you are of that age and have the capacity to be bound by these Terms.

The details you give when registering must be true and kept up to date. You may correct them at any time in your account area.

Each person is entitled to one account. Accounts created with another person's details, or several accounts belonging to the same person, may be suspended.

  2. 02Email address confirmation

Once you create an account you are signed in straight away, with nothing to wait for. We send you an email with a confirmation link, which serves to verify that the address belongs to you and that we can reach you.

If you do not confirm the address within seven days, access to the content is suspended. The account is not deleted and nothing is lost: as soon as you confirm, access is restored on your next request. You can request a new confirmation link from within the Academy.

Accounts that never confirm the address are deleted after thirty days, together with all data associated with them.

  3. 03Your credentials

The email address and password for your account are personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for keeping them secret and for everything done through your account.

Sharing credentials with third parties is grounds for suspension of the account, with no right to a refund of any amount paid.

If you suspect that someone has accessed your account, change your password immediately and let us know. Changing the password ends all open sessions, on every device.

  4. 04What you may do with the content

The videos and other materials in the Academy are made available for personal viewing, through your account, and only for as long as it exists and holds the corresponding access level.

You may not download, record, copy, transmit, publicly display, resell or make available to third parties, in whole or in part, any Academy content, by any means.

The content is protected by copyright and related rights, which remain the property of Cátia Andreia Lopes Cardoso or of those who authorised its use. Access to the Academy transfers no right over it.

  5. 05Access levels

The Academy has free content and may come to have paid content. Your account level determines what you can see.

Registration is free and gives immediate access to the open content. No content that is free today will be charged to you retroactively.

The catalogue is editorial and may change: we may add, alter or remove content at any time. If we remove content included in a paid level you have subscribed to, and that removal deprives what you paid for of its purpose, you will be entitled to a proportional refund of the amount corresponding to the remaining period.

  6. 06Service availability

We aim to keep the Academy continuously available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. There may be periods of unavailability due to maintenance, failure, or third parties on whom we depend.

The videos are hosted on YouTube, and playing them depends on that service and on Google's policies, over which we have no control. When you click on a video, the YouTube player is loaded in your browser; until that moment, nothing is requested from YouTube.

We are not responsible for unavailability caused by your internet connection, your equipment, or third-party services.

  7. 07Your personal data

To give you an account we process the data you provide when registering. What we collect, on what basis, for how long, and what rights you have over that data, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Permission to receive commercial contacts is separate and optional: you give it, or not, when registering, and you may change your mind at any time in your account area. Refusing or withdrawing that permission does not affect your access to the Academy in any way.

  8. 08Deleting your account

You may delete your account at any time, without giving a reason, from your account area. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Deleted with the account are your name, email address, telephone contact, company details, password, access levels and the record of your registration. We keep no copy.

If there has been invoicing, the corresponding tax documents are kept for the period required by law, and cannot be deleted on request. This is the only exception, and it is explained in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or delete an account that breaches these Terms, notifying you by email, except where the seriousness of the breach or the law prevents it.

  9. 09Price, payment and right of withdrawal

Registration in the Academy is free. If paid content comes to exist, the price, means of payment and applicable conditions will be presented clearly before any payment, and the purchase is completed only after you expressly accept them.

As these are digital contents supplied without a tangible medium, the fourteen-day right of withdrawal ceases if performance begins before the end of that period, with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose that right, under article 17(1)(l) of Decree-Law no. 24/2014 of 14 February.

That consent and that acknowledgement are asked of you at the time of purchase, and are not presumed from these Terms. You will receive confirmation of them on a durable medium.

  10. 10Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms, for example when the Academy gains new features or when the law requires it.

Material changes are communicated to you by email, to your account address, at least fifteen days in advance. We do not treat your silence as acceptance of changes on essential matters: if you do not agree, you may delete your account before they take effect, and in that case anything you have paid for and not used is refunded.

Corrections of clerical errors and changes that do not affect your rights take effect upon publication.

  11. 11Applicable law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law.

In the event of a consumer dispute, you may turn to the Alternative Dispute Resolution bodies, under Law no. 144/2015 of 8 September. The bodies we have joined are identified on the Alternative Dispute Resolution page, and you can consult the full list at consumidor.gov.pt.

The Electronic Complaints Book is also available, at livroreclamacoes.pt.

Without prejudice to the consumer's right to bring proceedings in the court of their place of residence, the Judicial Court of the District of Guimarães is designated.

If any clause of these Terms is held to be invalid, the remaining clauses remain in force.

These Terms apply only to the Academy. Use of the rest of the website remains governed by the general Terms and Conditions, and the processing of your personal data by the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
