Credit intermediaries are prohibited from receiving or handing over any sums relating to the formation, performance or early repayment of credit agreements, under article 46 of the legal regime for credit intermediaries, approved by Decree-Law no. 81-C/2017 of 7 July.
Credit intermediary activity is supervised by Banco de Portugal.
